Instructions to see photos

Ok, there has been a little confusion about seeing the photos.

Click on the actual photo of the 3 girls. It should then ask you for a password to see the rest of the photos. That password is vivian.

Hope that helps! Sorry I did it that way but there was just too many photos to sit and wait to upload.

Photobucket Link for photos

Photobucket Album

Photo Shoot Part Duex

I got the photos today from our photographer of the girls & of Shelby. Wowzas are my kiddos cutie pies! I can't possibly post them all here but I will pic a couple of my favs to show you. Now comes the tough part of picking what photos I want in what shading, size and such!!!

You know what...as I type this I am thinking that this will take way too long. So, here is the link to the ones I uploaded into photobucket. The password is vivian. You have to have the password to see them.

And since Shelby was the reason to do the photos...here is one of her just to put a cute face on this post.

One Month Old!!!

Sometimes I can't believe that Shelby is already a month old. I am gonna keep this short and simple.

STATS:
9 lbs 15 oz
21.5 inches long

That is 3 lbs even in roughly 30 days and 1.5 inches in length. I must have forgotten to mention that she is giving Miss Piggy a run for her money. *wink*

Life's moments

So I can't possibly be the only one that has a moment in life where the world stops and you see something you should see everyday but because life is happening...you don't. I had one such moment just the other day. Ashley was holding Shelby and I grabbed my camera. I got a handful of shots but there was one particular one that stopped me and I saw that "thing" that you don't see all the time even though it's right there under your nose.

Ashley's eyes are truly ALIVE in this photo. She looks so beautiful and "big" and focused and just alive with life. I know she puts that out daily but on this particular day it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I look at her eyes and her incredible face and I just feel so blessed to have her. Yes she pushes me to the brink but she is amazing and I love her to the end of the earth and back again.

Little Firecracker

Elyse had her 5 year well child appointment and the doctor confirmed what is already completely obvious....she is little. HAHA! She is in the 5th percentile for height at 39 1/2 inches tall and in the 25th percentile for weight at 36 1/2 pounds. I knew she was small of course but having a number like that kinda put it in black & white.

But have no fear...what she lacks in phsyical size she makes up for in personality...that much I can promise you.

Some of her current key phrases:

* I'll watch on the baby
* I'm just gonna do....fill in the blank
* This is the worstest day in the whole world
* I'm a rockstar

She starts all day Kindergarten in just a few short weeks and I think that has me thrown for a loop. Kindergarten. Are you reading that properly? ALL. DAY. AWAY FROM ME. DOING FOR HERSELF.

So who is gonna come hold my hand? I'll just let you all fight it out on that job duty. May the craziest reader win. *wink*

4 Year Old Eyes

So I have been letting Elyse use my camera to take photos of me since Michael isn't around to take some. She is actually fairly good with the camera and I am thankful for that so that the next year's worth of photos isn't all just the kids and nothing of me.

So anyway, after taking some pics of me the other day, she asked if she could use the camera. I realize that I was taking a HUGE risk by letting a 4 year old wander through my yard with the only digital camera that I own but I am glad I did. She took a bunch of nonsense photos that just make me giggle and enjoy her perspective on things. It's very entertaining to see what she thought might be worthy of a photograph...so here is my yard through a 4 year old's eyes!

Memories

Here's how it works:

1.As a comment here on this blog entry, leave a memory that you and I OR you and Michael had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me (or Michael) a little or a lot...just any memory that you still remember.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog (if you have one) so that all of us that know YOU, can leave our favorite memories of you!!!! Please join in for this celebration of WONDERFUL MEMORIES together!!!

PS: Great idea Carrie!

Pray for Chloe

I just wanted to put this out there...that if you could find a moment or two to say an extra prayer for a little baby girl (only 2 days older than Shelby) named Chloe. She is the new daughter of a friend of mine and Chloe has been quite sick. She hasn't been breathing on her own, having seizures and all sorts of bad ugly things that brand new tiny precious babies should not have to suffer from. Her parents are of course doing their best to get through this tough stuff.

Most of you will agree with me in that that prayer is a powerful thing and this family really could use as much of that power as we can all muster up for them & for baby Chloe.

THANKS!

2 weeks old

How the heck did 2 weeks already pass me by?! Someone please explain that to me. I won't bore you with all the details but we are doing fairly well. I have had to take Shelby a couple of times to the pediatrician now because of alot of spitting up. The bottom line is that she is gaining weight and not a miserable baby to live with HOWEVER the amount she was spitting up was abnormal enough that she is now on Zantac for reflux and I can't tell you how different she is now. So although the medicine tastes terrible (gonna take her photo tomorrow after getting it because her skunk face is hysterical) it is worth it to me.

I myself am healing very nicely. My doctor was very happy with my progress and I too am quite pleased. I am still sore if I do too much but for the most part, I feel fairly normal. I have even ventured out of the house (with my mother in law of course) with all three children. She let me handle them all on my own while going from the car to inside walmart and putting the little ones in the cart. I did pretty good if I do say so myself. Although I won't be doing that too often or I might lose my mind! *wink wink*

Here are a few new pics of the girls. We have been playing outside and such. And Michael's parents took the big girls to the zoo one day and Ashley was so tired that she literally passed out on the family room floor when they got back. It was hysterical.

Mrs. Major Vivian

Yep, that is my new "military" title! Michael was pinned on this afternoon by a colonel that he used to work for before Michael put the guy on a plane to Iraq for the next year! This isn't the best picture because it was taken with a cell phone but I am thankful to LTC Rado for sending it to me since we couldn't be there. For those that don't know...it is tradition that the spouse "pins" the new rank on the soldier and I obviously wasn't able to be there.

I am VERY proud of Michael for making this rank and I know that he is pretty proud of himself too.

Sweet baby

Shelby is one of the sweetest, calm and content little babies ever. I just can't believe how easy going she is. She sleeps well, she eats well, she is just a healthy and happy girl. On Monday she weighed 7 lbs even. I had to take her back on Thursday for a weight check and she had gained 7 oz in about 3 days! So maybe I should be calling her Miss Piggy.

Anyway, here are a few new pics. You wanted more right?! *wink wink*

And because these are too cute...you have to see them too. Elyse has really turned into a diva. I mean, just look at her! Need I say more?
