Merry Christmas...a bit late!

We were so busy with family over Christmas that I didn't get a chance to post...so here it is. Better late than never.

We had a very nice Christmas in Muskegon with mom & dad & Gabe. Santa Claus somehow managed to find Elyse & Ashley at Gramma's house and Elyse couldn't have been more thrilled. She saw what a mess he made with the soot from his boots on Gramma's white rug and how he filled the stockings and most importantly...how he ate his cookie & drank all the milk. He even remembered to feed the reindeer the carrot we left. Something tells me though that someone got to that carrot before Comet ever did! SHHHH! Don't tell Elyse.

One of the funniest moments was watching Elyse come to the conclusion that Santa had wrapped all her presents in princess paper. So of course she went and found all those gifts and had them lined up in a row on the floor when someone asked her which she was going to open first...to which she responded with what any normal three year old would say: THE BIG ONE! HA!

And Ashley you might ask? Well God help the soul that attempts to take away wrapping paper from this spunky little 6 month old!!! Now of course all babies love paper this we know. BUT she was almost obsessed with it. Quite amusing if you ask me. We did find that it was much better all around if her binkie was in the mouth while playing with the paper.

And as always, we finished Christmas day with dinner over at Grandma's house. Dinner was of course wonderful. It is always so nice to be with our family so we are very grateful that we had yet one more year of that together.

We hope that you all had a great Christmas holiday!
